QrCode Gets The Listing Treatment

My application for RISC OS to generate QrCodes called QrCode has recently had another upgrade taking it to version 2.05

First their has been a couple of bugs fixed to do with saving of the QrCode, one of them was that when saving a QrCode the wget command (which QrCode uses) would appear and the second one was when trying to save a phone QrCode would cause a crash.

The new feature is the ability to generate a QrCode listing i.e a multi line QrCode.

I have a short YouTube video of it in action.

It does require a working internet connection and wget to work with the data coming from the QrCode generator site.

Make a Call With QrCode

My Qr code generating application for RISC OS called QrCode has had another little update taking it to version 2.08

New in this version is the ability to generate Qr Codes to make phone calls, just put the phone number in the icon in the make a phone window.

I have a short video showing this in action.

It does require a working internet connection and wget work with the data coming from the Qr Code Generator web site.

QrCode Goes To Version 2.03

My Qr Code generator application for RISC OS QrCode has been upgraded to version 2.03

New in this version is that only one copy of the application can be run and that a slight bug that caused non drag and drop saves to crash the application.

The one copy running is their as it saves various things to it’s scrap directory and when it is quitted to deletes the contents of it’s scrap directory.

The non drag and drop save was caused I think because I used the same variable as the main Dr Wimp library to detect what type of Qr Code to make.

Their is no new features in this version the upgrade is to fix either a change in wget or the Qr Code Generator site, which sication from working.

QrCode Goes To Version 2.01

I have updated and uploaded an update to my application to generate Qr Codes QrCode to version 2.01

New in this version is the ability to create geo location Qr Codes with longitude and latitude co-ordinates and a bug fix in which saving images of a certain size would take a long time to download as I had a * instead of a &.

This application requires a working internet connection and Wget to work, with the data coming from Qr Code Generator site.

QrCode Goes To Version 2.00

My QrCode generation application QrCode has been upgraded to version 2.00

New in this version is that the need for Brandy BASIC has been removed. It uses the secure version of the API. SMS message QrCodes can be created. Finally custom image size can be saved.

Beware the QR Codes of March

My application to generate QR codes and save in a variety of different formats QrCode has been updated to version 1.08

New in this version a spelling mistake fixed in the Create a Vcard window was spelt Creqte

Also with the Create a Vcard option the display window comes to the front when a QR code is created.

Wget detection and reporting plus all scrap files are deleted on exit.

The data comes from QR Code Generator site.

It needs a working internet connection and wget to work.

WiFi And Drop A vCard With QrCode

My Qr Code generating application QrCode has had another update with 2 new features. They are

1. Drop a vCard file into QrCode to create an address Qr Code
2. Create a WiFi login Qr Code

With the vCard feature you can export an address from an address book application like Organizer and drop it into QrCode to create a Qr Code with the details filled in.

With the WiFi feature click on the WiFi button on the main window and enter the WiFi login details and click on the Get Qr Code button and a Qr Code will be generated that will allow a Qr Code to be scanned in by a smartphone or tablet to enable it to login to that WiFi network.

QrCode Updated Again

I have updated my Qr Code generating application QrCode to version 1.06

New in this version is that the recently added support for MeCards has been replaced with Vcard support as it adds support for more fields. Also I have got over the 256 character limit thanks to Brandy BASIC.

In the future I will be looking into dropping a Vcard into QrCode and creating a Qr Code from that and support for other formats.

MeCards Comes To QrCode

My Qr Code generating application QrCode has been updated to version 1.05

New in this version is the ability to generate a MeCard which when scanned should be able to added to an address book.

At the moment I have only implemented Name, Address and phone number, as BASIC’s 256 character limitation causes problems when having more fields, but I am looking at ways around this.
